As a manifestation of our University’s active cooperation in the attainment of the Civil Service Commission’s ideal of good governance, a three day seminar/workshop on the Performance Management System – Office Performance Evaluation System (PMS-OPES) was conducted last July 9, 2010 at the amphitheater, July 13 and 16, 2010 at the Conference hall. Participants were divided into three groups; the first groups of participants were the CEOs, University and select Campus Deans, and Department Chairs. The second group was comprised of Heads of Personnel and Finance and Accounting Services, Campus Secretaries and Division Chiefs, the third group which was the largest group were the heads of various offices such as the Guidance Office and Student Services Offices, joining them were the IGP representatives of all projects from all campuses. Separate scheduling of the participants was deemed necessary for a more focused discussion and relevant critiquing of outputs. The said activity is a part of the ongoing effort of the CSC in assisting our University in the coming out with our very own PMS-OPES table. The activity was spearheaded and monitored by the vibrant OIC of the CSC Human Resources Department, Mrs. Jovy Miguel. Mrs. Carlota Pauly the HRD staff reviewed and further clarified the guidelines in the crafting of the output table which was the target of the activity. It was a fruitful endeavor since most of the groups of participants were able to come out with their very own reference tables, which will be further critiqued and finalized hopefully in CSU Sanchez Mira or Anguib Beach perhaps?
