CSU Officer In-Charge (OIC) of the Office of the University President Dr. Mariden V. Cauilan named the new officials of the University.
Below are the faculty members who will work with her on an OIC capacity until a new president shall have been elected in August or in September.
Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Simeon R. Rabanal Jr. – The former Campus Executive Officer of CSU Aparri Campus whose designation took effect on June 6, 2016 following the passage of CSU Board Resolution No. 51 series of 2016. He is occupying a position that has long been vacated since 2014.
Carig Campus Executive Officer Dr. Lina M. Garan – The former Campus Executive Officer of CSU Sanchez Mira Campus whose designation took effect on June 1, 2016 through CSU Board Referendum No. 2016-02. She replaced Dr. Archimedes C. Articulo.
University Graduate School Dean Dr. Lilia M. Tamayao – Her latest assignments before her new post were dean of the College of Public Administration and campus planning officer of CSU Carig. She succeeded Dr. Manuel S. Tan Jr. following the approval of Board Referendum No. 2016-02. Her designation took effect June 1, 2016.
College of Arts and Sciences University Dean Dr. Theresa B. Dimalanta – A former campus academic and related affairs and quality assurance coordinator, Dr. Dimalanta, following the approval of Board Referendum No. 2016-02, assumed office on June 1, 2016, to replace Dr. Aniceto E. Udanga Jr.
Carig Quality Assurance and Accreditation Coordinator Dr. Lirio Gudina C. Mangawil – She is a former department chair of the natural sciences and mathematics department of the College of Arts and Sciences whose designation also took effect on June 1, 2016 per Board Referendum No. 2016-02. Her new post was the one vacated by Dr. Dimalanta.
Gender and Development Focal Point Person Dr. Jocelyn D. Tuscano – After coming from a Sabbatical Leave, Dr. Tuscano is back to continue her work, which was temporarily handled by Dr. Romeo C. Clemente, during her leave for a semester approved last year.
In a related development, Dr. Cauilan also issued a memorandum ordering the continuance of the performance of duties and responsibilities of incumbent designated officials “in view of the expiration of the term of office of Dr. Romeo R. Quilang as President of the University last March 15, 2016.”
The memorandum said the continuance is "to address interruptions resulting from vacuum created by reason of said expiration of term and to ensure continuity in the delivery of public service…"
