Dr. Mariden Ventura - Cauilan, the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Officer-in-charge of the Office of the University President, issued a Memorandum directing all Campus Executive Officers, University and Associate Deans, the University Foreign Student Coordinator, and the University and Campus Registrars to suspend immediately the recruitment and enrolment of students for the First Semester of School Year 2016-2017.

The memo was issued in the wake of the decision of the university administration to revise the guidelines in the admission, retention and promotion of foreign students in the academic programs of CSU. All foreign nationals interested in these programs are advised to refrain from paying any fee through any bank and from soliciting the services of any agent as the university has not authorized any agent, local or foreign, to recruit for CSU. The Officer-in-Charge also clarified that it is only the University President who is authorized to sign the Notice of Admission issued to foreign students.

Should the university administration decide to resume the recruitment and enrolment of foreign nationals, the same would be announced in the university website and other official channels.
