To widen the awareness and sensitivity of CHIM graduating students about gender and development and its core messages, the College of Hospitality Industrial Management in cooperation with Gender and Development Office conducted a Gender Sensitivity Training.
The said training was attended by 200 graduating student, they had the opportunity to acquire the mandates that relates to gender equality and sensitivity. Before they leave the university, they become more able to relate to the world outside the school through the said GST.
CHIM invited Ms. Rachel Miguel, Dr. Chelito Malamug and GAD Director Dr. Jocelyn Tuscano to serve as their speaker. They equally shared their expertise regarding Basic Concepts on GAD, gender equality and gender equity, use of gender fair language, legal bases of Gender and Development.
Before entering into a new realm, graduating students were being guided by the laws that embody the vision of a gender fair society and other GAD core messages.
