Andrews team places 2nd runner-up in PSC quiz bee

The University welcomed the new year with yet another good news.

The team that it sent to the Philippine Science Consortium (PSC) Quiz Bee held at the Ifugao State University on Jan. 7-8 placed overall 2nd runner-up among 27 competing State Universities and Colleges (SUCs).

Trained under the guidance of heavyweights in the academe, the members included Bryan Arugay and Jemimah Gabayan for Biology; Ernesto Carcasona Jr. and Kenneth Pedromar for Chemistry; Edison Espadilla and Rodolfo del Rosario for Physics; and Bill Aganus and Mark Luyun for Mathematics.

The students, all enrolled at CSU Andrews Campus, tried all their might to snatch the crown from Batangas State University and Central Luzon State University, who finished champion and 1st runner-up, respectively.

Their coaches were Dr. Jhoanna Calubaquib, Dr. Pedro Suyu, Dr. Nieves Reyes, and Engr. Cesar Llapitan.

Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Mariden Ventura congratulated the winners and their coaches.
