The Intellectual Property Office (IPO) approved the trademark application of three products of the CSU Food Innovation Center (FIC) based in CSU Carig Campus.
These are ‘Nutrients,’ ‘Nutron’ and ‘S-TART’ or Seaweed Soybean Tart.
This is yet another significant accomplishment of Campus Executive Officer Dr. Archimedes C. Articulo, who acts as the overall coordinator of the center, CSU President Dr. Romeo R. Quilang, whose vision is to put up several centers in the university which integrate the four-fold mission of CSU: instruction, research, extension and production, and Science and Technology Regional Director Urduja Tejada, who has always been a strong supporter of CSU in many development projects, the latest of which is the Tuklas Lunas Development Center that was officially awarded by DOST in a ceremony in Manila last month.
Both President Quilang and Director Tejada serve as the center’s consultants.
'S-TART,' a seaweed-soybean crusted tart, is a nutritious dessert topped with milk and ground peanuts.
