The Quality Management System of CSU Andrews was certified by Intertek to have conformed to the requirements of ISO 9001: 2008.
The system is applicable to the management of the quality aspects related to management office of administration and related support activities for CSU Andrews.
President Quilang received the Certificate of Confirmation during the April 10 Graduation Ceremony at Andrews Campus.
After Andrews, all other campuses will also be subjected to the same rigors of certification, which is CSU’s response to better its support to operations.
With the certification in place, CSU is expected to continue to improve from its previous best in all aspects of its business.
President Quilang has vowed to make sure all good business practices in CSU will be maintained so that it will preserve itself as a customer-focused organization.
He started initiating the process of certification last year by creating a quality management team led by Dr. Manuel Tan, who later spearheaded the introduction of ISO in a training among the officials and employees of CSU Andrews, regular meetings of the ISO Core Team, and the visit of Intertek representatives in December last year and in March this year.
A requirement for the grant of Performance Based Bonus, ISO certification is put in place in CSU along with its continual accreditation of its academic programs by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities Incorporated.
