Ched awards 28 programs certificate of program compliance

Twenty-eight programs of Cagayan State University have been awarded by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) a certificate of program compliance after a series of evaluation and accreditation visits done starting last year.

Granted a certification to operate, the programs include Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Commercial Communication, Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Bachelor of Science in Physics, Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Bachelor of Arts in English, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, and Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering.

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology major in Animation and Game Development, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology, Bachelor of Physical Education, Bachelor of Public Administration, Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling, and Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, all from CSU Carig.

The other programs certified to have met the minimum standards of Ched are Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Secondary Education and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, all from CSU Gonzaga.

Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Mariden V. Cauilan said Ched is about to issue the same certificate to the other programs of the University, 92 of which have been awarded by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) with Level I and Level II status.

The certificate was issued by Ched in accordance to the provisions of Republic Act 7722 otherwise known as “Higher Education Act of 1994” and pertinent Ched Memorandum Orders.

Released just this month, the certificate was signed by Dr. Honorato R. Alzate, officer in-charge of the office of the Director IV of Ched Regional Office 02.
