The Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP) evaluated seven programs of CSU Andrews on Sept. 1-4.
Headed by Dr. Danilo C. Galicia, overall coordinator, the AACCUP team came to assess the documents of the Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education (BTTE) subjected for a Preliminary Survey Visit.
At the exit conference done on Aug. 3 at the Andrews Amphitheater, Dr. Galicia recommended the awarding of a candidate status to the BTTE program after the team found the program to have reached a grand mean of 4.37. This means that, after six months, the program may be assessed again for the first survey visit (Level I).
The other programs underwent a Level I accreditation visit. These programs were Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Financial Management), Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing Management), Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, and Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Industry Management.
Dr. Galicia said the results of the Level I visit will soon be sent by the AACCUP through its Executive Director Dr. Manuel T. Corpus.
The overall coordinator was assisted by six team leaders: Dr. Lyrma C. Hife, Prof. Irene Gina D. Cruz, Prof. Leticia G. Tongohan, Dr. Renato T. Mercado, Prof. Madelyn R. Rialubin and Prof. Joanna Paula A. Ellaga.
The members included Dr. Lucila O. Sunga, Dr. Roslin C. Garcia, Dr. Maria C. Martinez, Prof. Sandra D. Elma, Prof. Josephine R. Tanciongco, Prof. Magilyn A. Racacho, Dr. Jhonel Panlilio, Dr. Gualberto A. Madaraoag Jr. Dr. Melba S. Asuncion, Dr. Felix C. Boyles, Dr. Emelyn F. Montoya, Dr. Pablo J. Rafael, Prof. Ramon E. Purugganan, Prof. Benigno A. Castillo, Prof. Nordelina B. Ilano, Prof. Ma. Linda R. Fernandez, and Dr. Cecilia Q. Velasco.
On Aug. 18, campus internal accreditors conducted a mock accreditation visit to the said programs to determine the preparedness of each of these programs. The internal accreditors are Dr. Leticia Dumlao (Areas 10 – Administration and Area 1 – Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives), Dr. Laureana M. Lingan (Area 2 –Faculty and Area 8 – Physical Plant and Facilities), Dr. Mariden V. Cauilan (Area 3 – Curriculum), Dr. Editha Pagulayan (Area 4 – Support to Students), Dr. Ramelo Ramirez (Area 5 – Research and Area 9 – Laboratories), Prof. Eladia Salabaoan (Area 6 – Extension and Community Involvement) and Mr. Ronaldo Sumait (Area 7 – Library Services).
In November, six programs of Andrews are set to be visited by AACCUP for Level 1 accreditation. These are Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Management, Doctor of Philosophy in English Language Education, Doctor in Public Administration, Master of Arts in Educational Management, Master of Arts in Education major in English and Master in Public Administration.
