9 CSU graduates pass veterinary medicine licensure exam

In this year’s licensure examination for veterinary doctors held on Sept. 1-3, the Cagayan State University produced nine passers who registered 29.03% as the University’s overall performance rating.

College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) Dean Roel T. Calagui identified the passers, to wit: Dr. Julius Andrew A. Agpaoa, Dr. Loven C. Beltran, Dr. Carmina Fayep Calumag, Dr. Mary Joyce C. Longid, Dr. Reah VivianM. Piagan, Dr. John Michael U. Tabil, Dr. Jamila C. Talon, Dr. Paris T. Torres, and Dr. Joana Rose A. Umoso.

In his letter addressed to Vice President Mariden V. Cauilan, Dean Calagui said the passers included 8 first-time takers and 1 repeater. A total of 31 graduates of CSU took the examination held in the cities of Manila and Cagayan De Oro, 18 of whom are first-timers and 13 repeaters.

This year’s overall national passing rate is 41.59%.

According to the dean, CVM organized a testimonial program on Sept. 10 for the nine successful passers in recognition to the pride they brought for the University.
