The Cagayan State University (CSU) inked a memorandum of agreement with The International Institute of Knowledge Management ((TIIKM) for the hosting of the 2016 International Conference on Agriculture and Forestry (ICOAF) to be held on June 1-3, 2016 at Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila, Pasay City.
Dr. Romeo Clemente, CSU Andrews gender and development focal point system coordinator, said CSU President Romeo R. Quilang had signed an MOA with the officials of the TIIKM on May 1 this year to formalize the partnership with the international organization by co-hosting the three-day conference which will be participated in by agriculture enthusiasts from all around the world.
He said the event will be highlighted by the presentations of various researches on agriculture and forestry, biodiversity, global food security, land and water management and technology and improving food security.
Co-chairing the event, Clemente said the conference centers on food security and climate change.
“The conference purpose is to give food stability and give answers to the problems caused by the climate change,” Dr. Clemente said.
