As an advocacy project to strengthen its niche in Bamboo & Agroforestry, CSU Gonzaga
                                  established “The CSU Bamboo Sanctuary”, a sustainable ecotourism destination showcasing
                                  the many possibilities that bamboo can contribute to ecological protection, local tourism and
                                  community development.


                                  Unique in this part of the country, the CSU Bamboo Sanctuary is home to the Urdujah Health and
                                  Wellness Park, Bamboo Café, Massage Hut, Bamboo Plantations, Bamboo Park, Bamboo Nursery,
                                  Balai Kawayan, and the Bamboo Gallery and Souvenir Shop.

                                  Short Term Outcomes
                                  •  Establishment and maintenance of a bamboo information desk, a bamboo nursery, bamboo
                                      plantation with multi varieties, bamboo park, café, souvenir shop, bamboo residences
                                  •  Employment of local men and women and PWDs in bamboo-based food products, handicraft
                                      production and other bamboo inspired art
                                  •  Women/men/PWD will be employed for wellness therapy
                                  •  Local and foreign visits recorded
                                  •  Employment opportunities
                                  •  Business opportunities for bamboo farmers in the locality


                                  Long Term Outcomes
                                  •  More attractive Agriculture program at Cagayan State University
                                  •  CSU to be a provider of bamboo and bamboo products in the years to come
                                  •  Creation of jobs
                                  •  Attract investments in the municipality/ province
                                  •  Facilitate local infrastructure
                                  •  Ecological protection
