CSU WRAPS UP 47TH FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY WITH ACHIEVEMENTS SHOWCASE AND AWARDS

Aparri, Cagayan – Cagayan State University (CSU) concluded its weeklong 47th Founding Anniversary celebration today, June 11, 2025, with the official presentation of the 2024 Milestone Video, highlighting the university’s achievements across instruction, research, extension, governance, and internationalization under the leadership of Officer-in-Charge President, Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez.

In his message, Dr. Ibañez expressed his gratitude to the CSU Board of Regents, university technical consultants, alumni, faculty, staff, and students for their collective contributions to the university’s continued progress.

“Like the amethyst, we shall grow stronger and more radiant together through life's challenges. Its deep purple hues embody wisdom, calm, and spiritual strength-qualities that dwell within every CSUan, guiding us all to clarity and resilience amid any storm,” he said.

In a special video message, Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, CHED Chairperson and Chair of the CSU Board of Regents, extended her warmest greetings and congratulations to the CSU community.

“CSU’s history is not merely one of endurance, it is a narrative of profound transformation,” she said. “As we mark 47 years of dedicated service to education, I invite the entire CSU community to not only reflect on the strides we have made but also to consider how much more we can contribute in shaping a better future.”

During the event, Dr. Agrupis was also presented a plaque of recognition as a proud alumna of the Bukig National Agricultural and Technical School, one of the legacy institutions that eventually formed part of the CSU system.

The celebration also honored the exemplary performance and dedication of CSU faculty and staff, with the conferment of special awards and loyalty recognitions for years of continued service. In addition, CSU conferred development partner awards to its valued institutional collaborators in recognition of their continued support and contributions.
