Cagayan State University (CSU), in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) and key partner agencies and local government units, took part in the inception meeting held today, August 4, 2025.
The meeting featured presentations on the revised Grants-in-Aid (GIA) Program guidelines of DOST and its agencies, along with updates on DOST-PCAARRD-funded projects.
The projects include Phase II of the SAFE-LIGTAS disaster response program, sustainable GAP-based vegetable production technologies for enterprise development in Cagayan, and the improved mangrove crab hatchery project in Buguey.
Participating agencies include DOST, Department of Agriculture (DA), DA–Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), and the LGUs of Gonzaga, Lal-lo, Solana, and Sto. Niño.
Representing DOST-PCAARRD were Director Noel Catibog of the Technology Transfer and Promotion Division (TTPD) and Science Research Specialist I Alexander John Borja.
