The Cagayan State University (CSU), through its Federation of Alumni Associations, conferred the “CSU Distinguished Alumna Award 2025”, the university’s highest alumni honor, to Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis.
Dr. Agrupis, an alumna of the former Bukig National Agricultural and Technical School, which later merged with other institutions to form CSU in 1978, was recognized for her exemplary achievements, outstanding contributions to her profession, and unwavering service to the community and the university.
She was also presented with the university’s distinctive alumni trophy, symbolizing the prestige and enduring legacy of CSU’s most distinguished graduates.
Following the conferment, Dr. Agrupis presided over CSU’s 97th Regular Board of Regents (BOR) Meeting, where discussions centered on the university’s strategic initiatives in instruction, research, development and extension, internationalization, finance, and administration.

Casauay, Hon. Carmelo O. Villacete, Hon. Dionisio C. Ledres Jr. (via zoom), Hon. Virginia G. Bilgera (via zoom), Hon. John Lester S. Jaime, and Hon. Kyle Aron Tan; along with Acting Board Secretary Atty. April Gayle U. Soller.
