With its awesome and potent performance in the recently-concluded Licensure Examination for Medical Technologists (March 2019), the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science of Cagayan State University, Andrews Campus has solidified its place as the number one medical technology program in the whole country.
Achieving 100% performance in the board examinations is an awesome feat indeed, considering that 127 CSU Medical Technology graduates took these recently-concluded licensure examinations.
The board examinations were administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) last March 13 and 14, 2019 in simultaneous locations in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
And to put an exquisite icing on a delicious cake, two CSU graduates achieved the much-coveted honour of being national topnotchers.
John Steward Buenavista Alberto topped everyone with an exceptional score of 91.10% (First Place) while Ryan Jay Lumaoang Lomboy also figured prominently with a score of 88.90%, good for 10th place over-all.
A total of 2,801 hopeful examinees took the March 2019 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination nationwide. According to the PRC, the passing rate was 68.45%.
Cagayan State University is way beyond this rating performance, exemplifying its drive towards academic excellence and board examination success.
Stratospheric performances in the board examinations for both Medical Technology and Respiratory Therapy is becoming the norm for the graduates of the College of Allied Health Sciences of Cagayan State University, Andrews Campus, since the institution of its current dean, Dr. Julius T. Capili. Under his dynamic and vibrant leadership, the Medical Technology and Respiratory Therapy programs has consistently produced board topnotchers.
Last year alone, CSU was a top performing school in both the September 2018 Medical Technologist licensure examination with 100% passing rate (31/31) as well as September 2018 Respiratory Therapy licensure examination, also with a 100% passing rate (77/77).
This year, the record is once again manifested and transcended, with a record number of 127 examinees taking the board examination.
It bodes well for the future of the Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science of Cagayan State University in the years to come.
