CSU’s Business Incubation Zone for Novel and Sustainable Technology Enterprises (BizNEST) conducted the Regional Start-Up Development Partnership MOA Signing, which aims to harmonize the services of the different lined-agencies towards strengthening the innovation and startup ecosystem in the Cagayan Valley Region, that transpired last October 1, 2020 at the CSU Hotel Conference Room.
Manifesting their Commitment of Support are Department of Science and Technology R02 RD Sancho A. Mabborang represented by Ms. Sylvia T. Lacambra, Department of Trade and Industry R02 RD Romleah Julie P. Ocampo represented by Mr. Winston T. Singun, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry R02 Governor Cloyd C. Velasco, Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 02 RD Narciso A. Edillo represented by Ma. Rosario Paccarangan, and Department of Information and Communication Technology R02 Engr. Leo B. Ugto represented by Engr. Petronilo S. Villafuerte who delivered their pledge of commitment to the project.
As a response, President Urdujah A. Tejada expressed her words of thanks to each of the agencies’ support to the program. She stressed the importance of this synergy as “we need to integrate efforts to propagate products that are community-based”. Dr. Jose D. Guzman, Project Leader for BizNEST gave a brief overview of the project as it aspires to generate more jobs and improve the viability of the incubatees’ products. This will be achieved through the MOA’s framework that revolves around the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)’ needs.
CSU’s BizNEST is a research project that is developed to provide technical assistance to help MSMEs grow their businesses through research ideas that would focus on market-oriented and data-driven solutions.
