CSU RDE Office conducts In-House Review

To enhance the research capacities of faculty researchers and refine the ongoing research projects of the university, the Office of the Vice President for Research, Development and Extension began today a research paper presentation and in house review of externally funded researches conducted by CSU Sanchez Mira and CSU Aparri researchers. Panelists are Pres. Urdujah Gaerlan Alvarado, VP Junel Guzman, Dr. Ricardo Casauay, Dr. Victor Balatico, Prof. Josie Bas-Ong, Dr. Gilbert Magulod and Dr. Froilan Pacris.

President Alvarado in her opening remarks urged the faculty researchers to be tolerant in the performance of their functions in this time of pandemic. She emphasized the importance of commercialization of outputs to be able to achieve the outcome expected from research. She further mentioned that the activity being conducted will set the agenda for product and program development as well as for policy making and way forward.

Seven on-going researches and ix completed researches will be presented during the two-day RDE activity namely "Production, Characterization and Workability of Natural Biological Dye from Local Plants: A Protocol for Rural Schools" by Dr. Shella Cacatian, "Design, Fabrication and Evaluation of instructional Mock Up for Ignition System of Automobile by Dr. Jason Tebes and "Coconut- Catmon Antibacterials Liquid Handsoap" by Prof. Lorna Ilustrisimo , Rehabilitation and Upgrading of the Multi-species Hatchery by Dr. Eunice Layugan and Marlon S. Alejos, MSc., RF, DNA Barcoding and Genetic Diversity of Selected Marine Fishes along the North Bifurcation of the North Equatorial Current (NEC) by Cleto L. Nañola, Jr., Ph.D., Liao Te-Yu and Glycinea de Peralta, MSc, Species Composition and Seasonality of Eels in the River Systems of Northeastern, Luzon (Year 1) by Dr. Eunice A. Layugan, Dr. Ernesto del Rosario, Jr., Mr. John Philip Tabasin, Mr. Aljohn B. Banares and Mr. Jomar R. Realica
