Five regions were chosen to pioneer this big program. In Cagayan Valley Region, the program recipient is the Cagayan State University under the leadership of President Urdujah Gaerlan Alvarado.
The Virtual Soft Launching and MOA Signing Ceremony for Cagayan State University and the Department of Science and Technology Region II’s joint venture on Metals and Engineering Innovations Center (MEIC) was inked today, December 22, 2020.
In her message, Universiy President Urdujah G. Alvarado said that CSU accepts the challenge to lead in the implementation of Region II’s Metals and Engineering Innovation Center and that she commits with the support of the Campus Executive Officer of CSU Carig and MEIC Focal Person Arthur Ibanez and the whole MEIC faculty and staff assigned in the Center. “We are very grateful with the trust and support given by DOST to implement another flagship program” she added.
The MEIC will develop strong partnerships with regional academic institutions to promote innovative culture and to strengthen their capacity and capability in the field of metalworking to enhance the competitive advantage of the metals and engineering industries.
The Metals Engineering and Innovation Center is located at CSU Carig Campus.
