CSU SUFFERS SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE FROM TYPHOON MARCE

By Office of the University President | November 12, 2024 |

Cagayan State University (CSU) is facing significant losses caused by Typhoon Marce, which struck Northern Luzon on November 7, 2024, affecting classrooms, offices, and other essential facilities in its satellite campuses including Aparri, Gonzaga, Lasam, Lallo, Piat, Sanchez Mira and Carig.

In response, CSU OIC President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez assured the CSU community of the university's dedication to recovery. “Despite these challenges, we will rebuild and emerge stronger together. Our focus is restoring our campuses to serve our students and staff effectively,” he shared.

The university is now actively mobilizing resources to repair and rebuild damaged facilities, for a safe and nurturing environment for learning.
