The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Philippine Association of Social Workers, Inc. (PASWI), and Sanguniang Panlalawigan of Cagayan Province recognized Cagayan State University (CSU) as one of the Top 10 Performing Schools in Social Work nationwide during the oath-taking ceremonies for newly licensed social workers held at PICC Manila and Tuguegarao City People’s Gymnasium.
Said recognition was made possible through the outstanding performance of the 73 newly licensed social workers from Cagayan State University - Carig Campus, who achieved an institutional passing rate of 89.02%, well above the national average of 64.49%.
Further, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of the Province of Cagayan recognized the significant achievement of the university through Resolution No. 2024-11-823, commending CSU–Carig Campus for being among the Top 10 Performing Schools nationwide in the September 2024 Licensure Examination for Social Workers. This honor highlighted the exceptional performance of CSU with 51 or more examinees and an institutional passing rate exceeding 80%.
In his inspirational address, OIC President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez congratulated the new social workers from different academic institutions in the region and encouraged them to embody the values of their profession. “May your journey as certified social workers be as inspiring as the dreams that led you here. Go forth with pride, and may you always find joy and inspiration in the service of others," he said.
