Cagayan State University (CSU), CHRG Electric Vehicle Technologies Inc., and the Department of Science and Technology – Metals Industry Research and Development Center (DOST-MIRDC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) today, December 6, 2024, during the 4th Quarter Regional Directors’ Meeting and Thanksgiving Celebration at Golden Phoenix Hotel, Pasay City.
The MOU establishes a partnership for scientific and technical cooperation, focusing on the creation of a manufacturing plant for electric vehicles and other technologies developed by CSU – Electromobility Research and Development Center.
CSU OIC President Arthur G. Ibañez, CHRG President & CEO Leo Allen S. Tayo, and DOST-MIRDC Executive Director Engr. Robert O. Dizon signed the agreement, witnessed by DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum, DOST Undersecretary Sancho A. Mabborang, CSU Carig CEO Roger P. Rumpon, and COO Engr. Rovina Janel C. Tayo.
Additionally, CSU partnered with Suki Trading, led by President Victorino B. Ocon, Mayatech Incorporated, headed by President Timothy Joshua F. Vargas, and ACT Machineries and Metal Craft Corporation led by President Ronie R. Marcos, through a Technology Licensing Agreement (TLA) for the fabrication and assembly of eTrike and converted electric tricycles (CTRIKE) under the DOST - Niche Centers in the Regions for Research and Development (NICER) program.
