To strengthen its commitment to quality education, Cagayan State University (CSU) held an opening meeting with the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) today, December 11, 2024, at CSU Andrews Campus Conference Hall.
After receiving a warm welcome from the VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Mariden Cauilan, OIC President, Dr. Arthur Ibañez extended his gratitude and thanks to the accreditors for accommodating the university’s request “Being accredited on a high level reinforces our credibility and reputation as a provider of quality tertiary education and services and improves our institutional standing, confirming that we dedicate our best towards the achievement of our strategic goals and vision.” he said.
The AACUP accreditation process will involve a series of reviews and thorough examination of academic and administrative practices, including the integration of research in teaching, the quality of student support services, and contribution to national and global development through its internationalization.
Programs included are in Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education and Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (CSU Andrews), Bachelor of Science in Fisheries (CSU Aparri), Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (CSU Carig), and Bachelor of Elementary Education (CSU Lasam), and is set to run from December 11-13, 2024.
