CSU HOSTS ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION ON GLOBAL COMPETENCIES FOR ACCOUNTANCY AND BUSINESS EDUCATION

Cagayan State University (CSU), in collaboration with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Accounting Education Work Group, hosted a roundtable discussion on Industry-Based Global Competencies Towards Internationalization via Zoom on March 21, 2024.

The discussion aimed to advance the internationalization of CSU's Accountancy and Business academic programs by addressing six key global workforce competencies, including innovative technology, sustainability, data privacy, and risk compliance.

It brought together business industry experts and international certification providers to exchange insights with a panel of reactors from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, Universitas Warmadewa Indonesia, Universiti Kuala Lumpur, and Unitar International University.

The event was attended by Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez – OIC University President, Dr. Giged T. Battung – University Dean, College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy deans, selected faculty members and students.

The initiative supports Sustainable Development Goal 17 – Partnerships for the Goals and strengthens CSU’s commitment to global collaboration and academic excellence.
