Cagayan State University (CSU) Andrews Campus - College of Teacher Education received the Excellence in Quality Assurance in Teacher Education (EQUATE) Award from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) this afternoon, April 2, recognizing it as one of the top-performing teacher education institutions in the Philippines.
CSU OIC President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, QA Director and CTED University Dean Dr. Marie Claudette Calanoga, CTED Dean Dr. Ian Roger Francisco, and Program Chair Dr. Cristina Natividad accepted the award at The Manila Hotel.
The EQUATE Award recognized the university's commitment to maintaining high standards in pre-service teacher education through CHED compliance, program accreditation, and excellent performance in the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT).
CSU is among the top 120 teacher education institutions out of 1,153 nationwide and stands among the 4 distinguished awardees in the Cagayan Valley Region for its excellence in teacher education alongside Saint Mary's University, the University of Saint Louis Tuguegarao, and Philippine Normal University - North Luzon.
