#CSUAT47 | CSU PROMOTES INTERDISCIPLINARY LEARNING THROUG ANNIVERSARY CONVOCATIONS

In celebration of its 47th Founding Anniversary, Cagayan State University (CSU) initiated a week-long Convocation Series from June 2 – 6, 2025, featuring academic and professional lectures for faculty and support personnel across all campuses and colleges.

The series opened on June 2 with legal-focused discussions for faculty members, covering updates on criminal procedure, individual rights during arrest and seizure, and approaches and strategies in dealing with children in conflict with the law (CICL).

Simultaneously, administrative personnel and staff attended a separate session on public service ethics, GSIS benefits and obligations, and the utilization of GSIS iTouch, equipping them with essential knowledge on their rights, responsibilities, and financial literacy as government employees.

On June 3, faculty members explored developments in technology and engineering. Key topics included science and technology innovation, mechatronics, and career growth in the tech industry. These sessions aimed to enhance their technical competencies in Industrial Technology, Engineering, Architecture, and Computing Sciences.

Today, June 4, the focus shifts to business and hospitality education, with lectures on leadership, artificial intelligence, and emerging business and industry opportunities.

Tomorrow, June 5, CSU will continue the series with lectures centered on personal well-being and inclusivity. Participants will engage in sessions on stress management, disaster preparedness, basic life support, and gender sensitivity.

The convocation series will conclude on June 6 with agriculture, veterinary, and fisheries-focused lectures. Topics will include smart farming systems, sustainable coconut and coffee production, aquaculture, and climate-resilient crop breeding, supporting CSU’s commitment to food security and climate resilience.
