The Cagayan State University (CSU), through its Electromobility Research and Development Center (EMRDC), received the Excellence in Project Implementation and Completion (EPIC) Award from the DOST-PCIEERD in recognition of its timely, efficient, and goal-oriented execution of its eTrike project.
The EPIC Award is conferred on project teams that exemplify excellence in implementation by achieving project goals on schedule, efficiently utilizing a minimum of 90% of their allocated budget, and fulfilling all deliverables without requesting extensions.
CSU earned the recognition for its successful project dubbed “Design, Development and Fabrication of the Different Parts and Assembly of e-Trike” which promotes sustainable and innovative transportation solutions in support of national goals on green mobility.
On behalf of CSU OIC President, Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, the award was accepted by EMRDC eTrike Project staff Engr. Mark Anthony S. Ibañez and Mr. Arnold Kein T. Tolbe, alongside the project managers from DOST-PCIEERD.
The award was presented on June 6, 2025, during the 15th Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST–PCIEERD) Anniversary held at the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City.
