June 9, 2025 – With heartfelt words and hopeful reflection, CSU OIC President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez marked the 47th Founding Anniversary of Cagayan State University (CSU) by thanking the very people who built and continue to shape it.
In his message, Dr. Ibañez honored past CSU leaders and recognized the dedication of faculty, staff, and officials across all campuses and the central administration. He credited their collective efforts for CSU’s transformation from a vocational school to a full-fledged university offering diverse academic programs.
He recalled how former CSU President Dr. Roger Perez once described the early challenges of limited enrollment and few course offerings, such as automotive and woodworking. “Look at our transformation,” Dr. Ibañez said. “Leadership alone could not have made this happen, it’s all because of you who have served CSU with unwavering service and dedication.”
The celebration took place simultaneously across all nine CSU campuses, Andrews, Aparri, Carig, Gonzaga, Lal-lo, Lasam, Piat, Sanchez Mira, and Solana-Lara, where faculty and staff actively participated in a variety of meaningful activities that highlighted camaraderie, collective achievements, and the shared journey of a thriving academic community.
The entire CSU community will gather from tomorrow until June 11, 2025, at the CSU Aparri Campus for a series of events, including groundbreaking and ribbon-cutting ceremonies for key infrastructure projects, and a variety of interactive activities such as culinary innovation showcases, the Hook and Harvest Tournament, the Tinuno Festival, and pitching competitions, among others.
