Cagayan State University (CSU) made a significant leap in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, moving to the 1001–1501+ bracket globally, after debuting in the 1501+ tier in 2024.
The university earned a composite score between 49.8 and 60.8, driven by notable gains in SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
From initial participation in only a few SDGs last year, CSU expanded its engagement to a broader set in 2025 including SDGs 2, 7, 11, 13, 15, and 16, positioning itself as a key player in higher education’s role in advancing the UN’s 2030 Agenda.
CSU is one of 121 Philippine higher education institutions (HEIs) recognized this year and ranks among the top five performing universities in the country. The THE Impact Rankings assess universities worldwide based on their commitment to teaching, research, community engagement, and sustainability.
