The key offices of Cagayan State University (CSU) convened for a strategic alignment session on November 21, 2025, at the CSU Hotel, to harmonize quality assurance standards and institutional deliverables with the university’s vision, mission, and SUC Leveling targets.
OIC University President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez graced the activity and urged all units to actively support the University’s quality assurance agenda, emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts in sustaining excellence across all operations.
The collaborative session focused on reviewing indicators from global frameworks, including WURI, ISO, AUN-QA, Times Higher Education (THE), EduRank, UI GreenMetric, and QS Stars. These frameworks were presented to concerned unit heads and coordinators to ensure CSU’s programs and systems remain globally competitive while upholding standards of excellence, sustainability, and innovation.
Resource persons Dr. Marie Claudette M. Calanoga, Dr. Giged T. Battung, Ms. Rio Averil C. Pamittan, Mr. Paolo Johaness Roy, and Engr. Matthew Custodio highlighted the significance of aligning with benchmark indicators to enhance CSU’s institutional reputation and support long-term goals in quality education, research productivity, and international collaboration.
The session highlighted the crucial role of unified and well-coordinated efforts across all units in driving CSU’s continuous improvement initiatives and positioning the University as a leading higher education institution in the region.
On-site participants included directors and coordinators of the Quality Assurance Office, Planning Office, and Management Information Systems, while academic, research, extension, auxiliary, internationalization, infrastructure, and partnership units joined virtually via Zoom. University Technical Adviser Dr. Florentina S. Dumlao was also in attendance.
