Portable Solar Dryers (PORTASOLS)

Free-Range Portable Solar Dryers (PORTASOLS) increased the beneficiaries’ production of hygienic

and quality dried fish, grains, fruits, and vegetables and at the same time increased their
income. Seventy-five Portasol units were distributed to 42 recipients who are fisherfolks,
Layer Chicken women, entrepreneurs, extension beneficiaries, farmers, etc.

Gulayan sa Bawat Tahanan/ Home Garden created
an alternative livelihood to fishing among women
household members. It focused on improving health
and nutrition through edible home garden and
decreasing the household expenses by cutting their
budget on food through planting and harvesting
their own vegetables.
