The agoho and coconut trees growing in Caroan, Gonzaga, Cagayan are part
of the CESTEEPH Program’s advocacy in environmental rehabilitation and
conservation. This beach forest will make the community more resilient
to natural disasters and will create livelihood in the community once
it develops into an ecotourism site. With 1,400 agoho and coconut
seedlings planted through the concerted efforts of the CSU-Gonzaga,
PNP-Gonzaga, 20th Marine Company, MDRRMO-Gonzaga and the
Caroan community, this beach forest development was established.
