OIC PRESIDENT CALLS FOR FIRST MEETING UPON ASSUMPTION OF OFFICE

It’s all hands on deck as Cagayan State University OIC- Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez calls for first meeting with University Officials, Campus CEOs and Heads of Offices. The meeting which was conducted today, February 7, 2024, at Claude Andrews Convention Center, benchmarked the current status, and future plans of the University both administratively and financially.

The meeting covered agenda on Finance, Academics, Infrastructure and Centralized Systems. Issues faced by the University's campuses were raised as well which was promptly attended to by the OIC President. In his vision, he highlighted the need of the University to streamline processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and timeliness of outputs. The OIC emphasized the strict compliance on the submission of monthly evaluation of activities and reports from the projects conducted by the University and its campuses.

Among the topics, the president also underscored the goal of refining academic matters, especially in seminars and trainings of Instructors. Along with it, he aligned the production of modules for Professional Courses to help students in the board exams, as he pointed out that the use of these modules should be maximized to later on study its impact on board performance. Plans of furthering the Internationalization prowess of Cagayan State University was presented and attended to.

In his plans to enhance the University's System, the OIC tasked the University's programmers to create and develop a system that would be accessible across the University and all its campuses. This centralized system will ensure the ease of access for various forms of operation, including admission, inventory, and other administrative management designs.

Moreover, the OIC President expressed his support on the Improvement and Infrastructure needed by the University with the goal of enhancing the Campuses & offices’ services. Also, his platform to plant five thousand trees was disseminated to the CEOs in order follow the commitment of the University in achieving the goal of a greener environment and a healthier ecosystem.
