Cagayan State University (CSU), through its Office of the Vice President for Internationalization, Partnership, and Resource Mobilization (VPIPRM), launched the third and final framework of its long term international exchange program on January 23, 2025.
The initiative, conducted in partnership with Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar (UNMAS), Indonesia, is titled “Global Educators Forum: Enhancing International Perspectives in Teacher Education.” The program will equip future educators with essential skills, knowledge, and cultural competencies to thrive in diverse educational settings. It emphasizes faculty and student mobility as key to fostering long-term international engagement, enriching educational experiences, and enhancing professional development.
In his message, CSU OIC University President Dr. Arthur Ibañez thanked UNMAS for the collaboration and emphasized the need for educators to adapt to global trends and use data-driven, personalized teaching methods to ensure all students succeed.
The program was conceptualized and developed by Dr. Ana Marie Cauilan, VPIPRM, and implemented by Internationalization Director Kristinne A. Lara. Dr. Maridy M. Calanoga, University Dean of the College of Teacher Education, spearheaded the event, supported by College of Teacher Education deans and faculty members across CSU campuses who served as facilitators.
The convocation series, which will run for 6 months, includes sessions and activities focused on innovative teaching, improving classroom effectiveness, and giving faculty and students a well-rounded educational experience for a globalized world.
