CSU LASAM AND SSS INK AGREEMENT FOR SOCIAL SECURITY COVERAGE OF PERSONNEL

The Cagayan State University–Lasam Campus and Social Security System (SSS) formalized a Memorandum of Agreement to extend social security coverage to Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) personnel, April 14, 2026.

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 11199, the agreement ensures that qualified personnel are covered under the SSS Self-Employed Program, granting protection against contingencies such as sickness, maternity, disability, old age, and death.

Under the agreement, CSU Lasam Campus shall facilitate registration, contribution collection, and remittance, while SSS shall provide registration, monitoring, and support services, including seminars and UMID enrollment.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Vic Byron T. Fernandez , Vice President of Luzon North 2 Division, and Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, Officer-In-Charge President, witnessed by Vice President for Finance & Administration Dr. Theresa B. Dimalanta, CSU Lasam Campus Executive Officer Dr. Florante M. Balatico, and Campus Accountant Ms. Alice C. Bassig.
