Cagayan State University (CSU) conducted its Physical and Financial Performance Review for the first quarter of fiscal year 2025 today, April 25, at the Central Administration Conference Hall.
The activity gathered campus planning and budget officers along with key officials of the university to evaluate accomplishments across four major performance indicators – higher education, advanced education, research and extension, and capital outlay projects.
Spearheaded by University Planning and Development Director Dr. Ian Roger Francisco, the review served as a platform for campuses to present their progress and status of physical and financial targets.
Dr. Francisco highlighted the importance of sustaining high standards, noting that, “Having earned an outstanding overall rating in the first Annual Performance Review of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) last year, the challenge for us now is to maintain that rating.”
Campus representatives likewise expressed their resolve to meet and exceed the university’s performance targets for the year.
CSU previously achieved an outstanding overall rating in financial, physical, and reportorial performance during the first Annual Performance Review of SUCs in Cagayan Valley, led by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Region 02 last March.
Among those who attended the review and provided recommendations were Dr. Junel B. Guzman (Vice President for Research, Development, and Extension), Dr. Theresa B. Dimalanta (Vice President for Administration and Finance), Dr. Marie Cauilan (Vice President for Internationalization, Partnership, and Resource Mobilization), Dr. Lorraine Tattao (OSDW Director), and Mr. Alvin U. Alisasis (University Budget Officer).
The evaluation aims to strengthen operational efficiency and ensure CSU remains aligned with national goals in higher education and public service.
