Cagayan State University (CSU) and the 5th Infantry (STAR) Division of the Philippine Army formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to strengthen collaboration in promoting education, peace, and community development across Northern Luzon.
The agreement was signed today, October 29, between CSU OIC President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez and Major General Gulliver L. Señires, Commander of the 5th Infantry Division, during a ceremony held at Camp Melchor F. Dela Cruz, Upi, Gamu, Isabela.
In his message, Dr. Ibañez expressed gratitude to the 5th Infantry Division for the meaningful partnership, emphasizing CSU’s continuing mission to produce competent and socially responsible graduates who contribute to peace and national development.
Maj. Gen. Señires, for his part, highlighted the significance of the partnership in promoting professional growth, leadership, and institutional advancement within the Philippine Army.
The signing was witnessed by Director Dionisio C. Ledres, Jr., Regional Director of the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DepDev) and Member of the CSU Board of Regents, along with CEO Roger P. Rumpon, Dr. Mac Giovani Lagundi, Dr. Dennis Bacuyag, and Dr. Josephine Alejo and officers from the Philippine Army, who collectively expressed their strong support and appreciation for the partnership.
The partnership highlights the shared commitment of both institutions to advance sustainable development, capacity building, and human resource empowerment through education-based initiatives.
