Cagayan State University (CSU), led by Officer-In-Charge President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, warmly welcomed delegates from Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) for a benchmarking activity, June 9, 2026.

The visit forms part of LSPU’s institutional initiative to learn from CSU’s best practices in key areas of academic and administrative excellence, including admission policies, Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP), research journal management, extension systems, internationalization, Gender and Development (GAD), student services, and ICT services.

The LSPU delegation was headed by Vice President for Academic Affairs Atty. Rushid Jay S. Sancon, a CSU alumnus, together with key university officials and staff from various offices.

During the courtesy visit, Atty. Sancon expressed gratitude for CSU’s hospitality, noting that the university has always been a second home and emphasizing the value of strengthening collaboration among state universities and colleges (SUCs) toward shared national development goals.

On his part, Dr. Ibañez assured the delegation of CSU’s full support, encouraging them to also explore the university’s innovation hubs, including its e-mobility and food innovation centers at CSU Carig Campus, as part of their learning itinerary.

The LSPU delegation will visit two campuses of CSU including CSU Piat Campus for the Dairy Research and Development Center and Agri-Eco Tourism Site (Agri-Animal-Integrated Farm) and CSU Aparri Campus for the Multi-Species Hatchery, Museum of Fisheries and SDG Portal.
