JAKARTA, INDONESIA — Cagayan State University (CSU) and American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition, June 23, 2026.

The agreement was signed by CSU Officer-in-Charge President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez and AIUB Founder Member of the Board of Trustees Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin, marking the beginning of a five-year partnership aimed at strengthening international cooperation in education, research, and institutional development.

Under the partnership, both institutions will pursue collaborative research projects, joint supervision of graduate theses and dissertations, curriculum enhancement, faculty and student exchanges, and participation in conferences, seminars, and scholarly activities. The agreement also promotes the exchange of publications, academic resources, and institutional best practices.

The partnership is expected to enhance academic excellence, research productivity, and cross-cultural understanding while creating pathways for future collaborative initiatives between the Philippines and Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ibañez was accompanied by the Vice President for Research, Development and Extension, Dr. Audy R. Quebral, who also served as one of the witnesses in the MOU signing.
