Cagayan State University gathered academic leaders and faculty representatives from its various campuses on July 17, 2026, for the "Curating the Credential: A Workshop on Microcredential Review and Approvals," strengthening the University's commitment to developing high-quality microcredential programs.

Held at the Cagayan State University Central Administration Conference Room, the workshop served as the next phase of the University's microcredential initiative following the foundational seminar conducted earlier this year with CHED Commissioner Dr. Michelle Aguilar-Ong.

During the workshop, participating colleges presented their proposed microcredential offerings, which underwent review and refinement to ensure compliance with quality standards, academic rigor, and alignment with institutional goals and industry needs.

The initiative forms part of Cagayan State University's continuing efforts to expand innovative and flexible learning pathways that support lifelong learning, workforce development, and paradigm shifts in higher education.
