Cagayan State University is taking another step toward future-ready governance and education following discussions with the Philippine Futures Thinking Society (PhilFutures) on integrating strategic foresight into the University's planning and academic programs.

During a courtesy visit on July 17, PhilFutures Secretary-General Dr. Michville Rivera met with Officer-in-Charge President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez to discuss the implementation of futures thinking courses, capacity-building activities, and the ACACIA Framework scheduled for September 2026.

The workshop, to be conducted in hybrid format, aims to equip university leaders and faculty members with practical tools and methodologies for strategic foresight, scenario planning, sustainable institutional development, and the Sustainable Development Goals.
