Recognizing that campus safety begins with the people working on the ground, Cagayan State University (CSU) is strengthening the capacity of its auxiliary personnel through a university-wide crisis management training and re-orientation.
The “Safe Campus, Strong Foundations” activity brings together the Food Service and Sanitation Team, Building and Grounds Custodians/Security personnel, and Health and Wellness Team on August 27–28, 2026, at Hermes Hall, Athena Hotel, CSU Andrews.
Organized by the University Auxiliary Office, the program is designed to strengthen the frontline teams' understanding of their respective responsibilities and strengthen coordination among them.
The training covers three critical dimensions of campus operations: security and property protection, food safety and sanitation, and health emergency preparedness.
Among the featured sessions are University Crisis Management by University Planning Director Dr. Ian Roger M. Francisco; Building a Safer Campus: Security Protocols and Effective Grounds Custodianship by PNP representatives PMAJ Arlene M. Javier and PCPL Jerome B. Baloran; and Safe Campus, Strong Foundation: Empowering Campus Inspectors in Food Safety, Food Handling and Tenant Sanitation Compliance by Sanitary Inspector Mr. Dexter Singson.
The afternoon featured simultaneous breakout sessions for the respective units, followed by the presentation of outputs from the General Services Office, Transportation Services, Food Services, and Security Services.
The program also features opening remarks from Mr. Terence Alfred Roberto A. Tejada, Director for Auxiliary Services, and inspirational message from Engr. Theresa B. Dimalanta, Vice President for Administration and Finance.
Through the initiative, Cagayan State University seeks to strengthen coordination among its auxiliary teams and ensure that safety, sanitation, security, and health processes remain responsive, understood, and consistently implemented across the University.
