CSU Officer-in-Charge President Dr. Arthur G. Ibanez welcomed Toshimichi Hosoya, President & CEO of Makabe Japan Trading Co., Ltd., for a discussion on the company’s preliminary interest in supplying solar power to Cagayan State University, October 21, 2026.

The proposal covers an initial 500-kW rooftop solar power system, with the final capacity to be determined based on available roof space, structural assessment, electricity demand, and the results of a feasibility study.

The discussion is part of the initial exploration of potential renewable energy solutions for the University, including the assessment of how solar power may contribute to more sustainable and cost-efficient energy use.
