3. IDENTIFICATION

OF POTENTIAL AREA

FOR PLANTATION

San Vicente in Sta. Ana, Cagayan was identified as a
potential area for new nipa plantation while Brgy. Bisagu,
Aparri was chosen as an area of rehabilitation. These
areas were identified based on the following criteria:

• The area must be a public land without any private
owner
• It must be a mangrove area
• It must be in a brackish area of water
• Must not have any conflict with other agency in
implementing the project to prevent duplication of
project at the same area
• The LGU and the community must be willing to
implement the project
