Inspired to create research-based policies that would help increase sustainable livelihood for the people of the municipality of Alcala, Mayor Cristina Antonio together with her team proposed their Research Programs and Topics last September 29, 2020 to University President Urdujah A. Tejada and the University research officials for possible collaboration with Cagayan State University.
The Municipality’s Research Programs and Topics centered on biodiversity for resilience by creating research projects that aim to make an inventory list of the water and land resources of Alcala. “We want to find out the living resources there because they are presently undocumented.” said Mayor Antonio as she added that the description of Alcala's natural resources could help better policy creation for its proper utilization.
CSU, through President Urdujah A. Tejada, expressed its support to the research initiative and willingly shares the resources of the University as Alcala becomes a research ground for students and researchers alike.
