CSU HOSTS ASEAN CONFERENCE ON DIGITAL JOBS

Cagayan State University (CSU) hosted the 3-day ASEAN Conference on Digital Jobs of the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) anchored in the theme β€œFostering Collaboration for Digital Jobs in the ASEAN Region", December 20 – 22, 2023.
In her welcome remarks, University President Urdujah G. Alvarado said that educational institutions like CSU have a crucial role in responding to the challenges of the 4th Industrial Revolution. β€œπ‘†π‘–π‘”π‘›π‘–π‘“π‘–π‘π‘Žπ‘›π‘‘ π‘‘π‘Ÿπ‘Žπ‘›π‘ π‘“π‘œπ‘Ÿπ‘šπ‘Žπ‘‘π‘–π‘œπ‘›π‘  π‘œπ‘› π‘–π‘›π‘ π‘‘π‘Ÿπ‘’π‘π‘‘π‘–π‘œπ‘›π‘Žπ‘™ π‘π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘”π‘Ÿπ‘Žπ‘šπ‘ , π‘π‘’π‘Ÿπ‘Ÿπ‘–π‘π‘’π‘™π‘Ž, π‘™π‘’π‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘›π‘–π‘›π‘” π‘’π‘›π‘£π‘–π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘›π‘šπ‘’π‘›π‘‘, π‘–π‘›π‘ π‘‘π‘Ÿπ‘’π‘π‘‘π‘–π‘œπ‘›π‘Žπ‘™ π‘ π‘˜π‘–π‘™π‘™π‘ , π‘Žπ‘›π‘‘ 𝑠𝑑𝑒𝑑𝑒𝑛𝑑-π‘‘π‘’π‘Žπ‘β„Žπ‘’π‘Ÿ π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘™π‘’π‘  𝑀𝑖𝑙𝑙 β„Žπ‘Žπ‘£π‘’ π‘‘π‘œ 𝑏𝑒 π‘‘π‘œπ‘›π‘’ 𝑏𝑦 π‘’π‘‘π‘’π‘π‘Žπ‘‘π‘–π‘œπ‘›π‘Žπ‘™ π‘–π‘›π‘ π‘‘π‘–π‘‘π‘’π‘‘π‘–π‘œπ‘›π‘  π‘™π‘–π‘˜π‘’ πΆπ‘†π‘ˆ π‘‘π‘œ π‘‘π‘’π‘Žπ‘™ π‘€π‘–π‘‘β„Ž 4π‘‘β„Ž πΌπ‘›π‘‘π‘’π‘ π‘‘π‘Ÿπ‘–π‘Žπ‘™ π‘…π‘’π‘£π‘œπ‘™π‘’π‘‘π‘–π‘œπ‘› π‘‘π‘’π‘β„Žπ‘›π‘œπ‘™π‘œπ‘”π‘–π‘’π‘  π‘Žπ‘›π‘‘ π‘π‘Ÿπ‘œπ‘‘π‘’π‘π‘‘π‘ ,” President Alvarado said.
She also mentioned the efforts and initiatives of the university to reaffirm its commitment to building collaborative ecosystems that connect the academe with industries.
Meanwhile, various plenary sessions on DICT’s initiatives, social and economic benefits of digital jobs, country reports on digital jobs in Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, and a workshop activity on Philippine digital job assessment and mapping will be conducted throughout the 3-day course of the conference.
