CSU & UNMAS, INDONESIA SIGN MOU ON EXCHANGE PROGRAM AND AGRIBUSINESS INITIATIVES

Cagayan State University (CSU), through University President Urdujah G. Alvarado, sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) this afternoon, September 18, 2023, with the Universitas Mahasarawati Denpasar (UNMAS) Indonesia led by Rector Dr. Drs. I Made Sukamerta. In her message, University President Alvarado expressed her excitement as she looks forward to the international exchange opportunities with Universitas Mahasarawati Denpasar. “With Indonesia being one of the Philippines’ closest neighbors, I am sure that there will be a lot of interesting topics and cultural experiences to learn from one another that can improve cross-cultural understanding,” the president said.
The new partnership will dwell on faculty and students exchange across the areas of teacher training, education, and agriculture, and agribusiness activities including crop and livestock, food processing, and innovation focusing on the university’s niche with high-value crops like coffee, citronella, and lemon grass.
Further, it will also include activities in the field of research and access to publications, joint seminar workshops, trainings and other academic activities. The virtual MOU ceremony is witnessed by CSU Vice President for Academic Affairs – Dr. Mariden Cauilan, Vice President for Administration and Finance – Dr. Giged Battung, Vice President for Partnership and Resource Mobilization – Dr. Teresa Dimalanta, Vice President for Research, Development and Extension – Dr. Junel Guzman, different CSU Campus Executive Officers and Domestic and International Partnership coordinators.
