CSU WELCOMES DELEGATES OF YOUTH FUTURES EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Cagayan State University, through OIC – Office of the University President, Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, warmly welcomed delegates from Unversitas Warmadewa, Universiti Teknologi Mara, and Universita Muhammmadiyah Sumatra Utara, for the Youth Futures Exchange Program lecture series, with the theme "Intergenerational Fairness and Sustainability" today, August 14, 2024 at the CLAUDE Andrews convention center.

Dr. Ibañez graced the morning ceremony to formally open the lecture series. In his welcoming remarks, he emphasized how this momentous occasion marks a significant moment in the history of CSU, as young minds from diverse backgrounds have come together to explore the critical themes of sustainable tourism development, e-marketing, internationalization, research publication and youth leadership.

Dr. Ibañez likewise highlighted CSU as one of the top universities offering quality educational excellence, achieving outstanding licensure examination results particularly in Medical Technology, Respiratory therapy and Engineering, recognized nationwide. Moreover, he further emphasized CSU’s mission and vision in providing quality education, encompassing the facets of instruction, research and production, all of which are tailored to help communities and aid students dreams’ turn into reality.

“As you participate in this activity we prepared for you, I encourage you to reflect and to appreciate the beauty of our host country, the Philippines, and I urge you to embrace the spirit of collaboration and innovation. The topics we will discuss are essential tools for shaping a brighter future for our communities and our world. Together, we can explore new ideas, strengthen our partnerships and create impactful research that transcends borders," he added. The OIC - President also expressed his appreciation to Dr. Battung and her team for once again making another internationalization endeavor come into fruition.

The set of activities prepared for the Youth Futures Thinking lecture series, including lectures, cultural events, tree planting and campus visits, spread from August 13-18, 2024 will be held through the university campuses, while showcasing the rich and diverse culture Cagayan has to offer.
