CSU CELEBRATES STUDENT CENTER GROUND BREAKING AND ATHENA CONVENIENCE STORE RIBBON CUTTING

Cagayan State University Andrews campus celebrated the ground breaking of the Andrews Campus student center and Ribbon cutting of the Athena Convenience Store yesterday, September 10, 2024 at Andrews campus with CSU Board of Regent member, Joseph jojo Lara and his wife who is a benefactor of CSU, Dok Zarah Lara gracing the event

The momentous occasion began with the ground breaking and blessing of the Andrews campus student center, facilitated by Rev. Fr. Ranhilio Aquino. The student center is a realized rehabilitation and improvement project from the proposal of former Student council President Xyrene Keith G. Medrano to Cong. Lara who sought for its funding. The student center is envisioned to promote peer collaborations through a modern and comfortable lounge designed to be a central gathering place where students can study and engage in social activities.

The ribbon cutting of the Athena Convenience store followed immediately after the groundbreaking, the store offers an accessible alternative where students and employees may purchase goods. During the ceremony, Andrews campus executive officer, Ramon Henry Kanapi said that the store will also be an avenue where Students from the College of Business Administration and Accountancy may promote their output products, moreover, by year 2025, the same college department is likewise projected to handle the accounting of the business.

In his message, Cong. Lara expressed his delight in the construction of the Student Activity center, emphasizing that this endeavor is aimed at providing students with a conducive area for conducting studying and other learning activities. He further highlighted his promise in the continuance of providing permanent solutions to the needs of students. The 4.8 million project is expected to be finished by November this year, and utilized by students before holiday break.
