By Office of the University President | October 9, 2024 |

To promote better physical education, sports, and health programs, Cagayan State University (CSU) has partnered with the International Association of Physical Education and Sports (IAPES) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on October 4, 2024.

The new partnership aims to create initiatives encouraging quality education, research, and leadership in physical education and sports including webinars, coaching, training sessions, and workshops. The collaboration will focus on four main areas - academic and research cooperation, professional development, community engagement, and knowledge sharing.

During the signing, OIC President Arthur G. Ibańez spoke about how this partnership represents more than just a formal agreement. "This MOU isn’t just a piece of paper, it shows our shared goal of making physical education and sports a priority," Ibańez said.

He also extended his gratitude to key leaders involved in the partnership, including Dr. Jesus Argarin, President of IAPES, and Dr. Jewelson Santos, Chairman of IAPES, praising their leadership and commitment to advancing the role of physical education and sports.
